The Irish Jewelry Association (IJA) has released its latest list of best-selling jewelry brands in the United States.
The survey found that the majority of the top sellers in the market are brands that specialize in jewelry from the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Japan and India.
The U.K. led the way in terms of sales, with more than 7,000 brands in their top 100 best-seller lists, followed by France, Canada, India, Germany and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The United States followed closely behind, with 6,000 products on the list.
The top five most-sold items on the chart are: sterling silver (4,100), sterling silver chain (3,000), sterling sterling chain necklace (3.1 million), sterling chain earrings (3 million).
In terms of retail sales, sterling silver was the top-selling brand in the industry, followed closely by sterling silver necklace, sterling sterling silver earrings, sterling brass chain earring, sterling pearl chain earpiece, sterling bronze chain ear, sterling nickel chain ear and sterling platinum chain ear.
For the most part, American jewelry brands also made the top 10 in terms a retailer.
While it’s not unusual for a retailer to have a range of offerings in terms as to where they are in the world, the American market is home to some of the world’s top-rated retailers, such as Tiffany and Christian Dior.
In terms on the consumer side, the top 5 best- selling brands are: Louis Vuitton (5,000) Chanel (4.3 million) Michael Kors (3 to 4.9 million) Givenchy (2.5 million) Stella McCartney (2 million) Dolce & Gabbana (2 to 2.6 million)The top 10 most-selling retail items on IJA’s Top 100 list are: $1,000 watches (5.4 million), $200 earrings ($2.6 billion), $300 chain earlrings ($1.8 billion), Sterling silver necklace ($1 billion) The top five brands that are selling the most in the US are: Michael Korn (6,000 pairs), Tiffany & Gabbany (5 million), Christian Doria (4 million) and Michael Kori (3 Million).
In its latest quarterly report, the IJA said that it expects to release its Top 100 Top Sellers for 2017 and 2018, with the survey to be released in the coming weeks.
